Creative Processes For Coaches

This session presents coaches with varied ways of working with sensory, intuitive, metaphorical processes. We involve coaches in experiments which mine potential insights below the level of awareness. We take into account the transformative nature of whole brain learning and how change and awareness can occur which produce heightened consciousness, new possibilities and fresh perspectives. The workshop will be largely experiential and consist of a series of short exercises focussed on creative approaches to challenges (our own, our clients’, and/or organizations with which we work) using different media such as drawing, movement, writing and sounding for “discovery learning”, followed by practice and discussion. We may utilize fantasy and dream images, spontaneous movements and group configurations, synchronicities and other phenomena which present themselves during the course of the workshop. Coaches are supported in the use of their own imaginations and creative expression for expanding interactive and lively exploratory choices for themselves and their clients. Gestalt models will be demonstrated to process the expressions which emerge. We will discuss how these experiences can be useful in various venues and how they support the development of of the whole person.
