Live Event: Developing Emotional Intelligence in Teams

October 2 @ 3:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Presented by Dr. Steven Wolff, Dr. Jiahong Juda, Alexander Caillet, and Amy Yeager

More and more coaches are being called upon today to work with teams, in the hopes of bringing some of the benefits of individual coaching (including enhanced self-awareness, constructive behavioral change, and improved business results) to an entire group.

However, a team is much more than a collection of individuals. While many of the skills and methods used for one-on-one coaching can be effectively applied to teams, the complex dynamics of a group demand additional tools and competencies as well.

This interactive session will provide a time-tested approach to coaching teams and will introduce Team Emotional Intelligence as a specific framework for helping teams build a productive emotional environment.

You will learn:

  • What team coaching is and why it is more important now than ever.
  • Differences between coaching individuals and coaching teams.
  • A set of effective coaching techniques specifically designed for developing teams.
  • The basic principles of the Team Emotional Intelligence framework.
  • Guidelines for using the Team Emotional Intelligence framework to engage a team in discussions that create psychological safety and resolve interpersonal issues.
  • A variety of human dynamics issues that team coaches must understand to be successful.
  • An overview of some of these tools and how they are being used in one-on-one engagements as well as with teams.
