Do you ever wonder how the ICFNE Programming Committee finds such wonderful presenters?
Last summer, at a “crossroads” time in my life and career, I came across a workshop that called to me. It was 2 ½ days with Tama Kieves at Omega. I had heard of Tama, a well-known Harvard-trained corporate attorney turned writer, poet, coach and seminar leader, so I signed on… and became inspired by her very honest story. It was not a seminar on “The 5 Keys to Inspired Career Success.” Rather, it was a very human story complete with embarrassing and awkward moments as well as strokes of brilliant insight, gained wisdom, and tales of synchronicity.
Through the workshop exercises, Tama’s humor, questions, suggestions and words of wisdom, I learned how to better listen to my own Inspired Voice and act more of the time on “what lights me up.” I also discovered some things that I had been doing which were actually getting in my own way of having more of the life and work that I love.
As Tama acts on her own inspired self-expression, I think she has some great stories, insightful questions, and enthusiastic energy to bring to the topic of supporting ourselves and our clients in listening more to our/their Inspired Selves.
Tama has longer events at places such as Kripalu, the New York Open Center, and Esalen as she teaches the principles from her second book, Inspired & Unstoppable: Wildly Succeeding in Your Life’s Work!. When I invited Tama to speak to our ICF chapter, she was enthusiastic about the opportunity to talk with fellow coaches and to visit New England on her book tour (she now makes her home in the Denver area).
I look forward to seeing you at ICFNE’s live event on April 22nd for this special treat!
