VIA Character Strengths are part of the foundation of Positive Psychology.  Character strengths are the qualities that come most naturally to you. Every individual possesses all 24 character strengths in different degrees, giving each person a unique character profile. When you know your strengths, you can improve your life and thrive. Research reveals that people who use their strengths a lot are 18x more likely to be flourishing than those who do not use their strengths. Understanding our signature (top) strengths gives us access to our sharpest natural tools -- the ways we bring our best to the world and to our coaching clients.

Awareness, exploration, and application of VIA strengths also allows us to best appreciate and unleash the intrinsic motivation and character expression of our clients (as well as others in our lives).

Recommended pre-work:

In order to gain the most benefit from the MeetUp, go to http://lauriecurtis.pro.viasurvey.org/ and take a free 20-25 minute survey. Note your top 5-7 strengths or have a copy of the report to refer to during the MeetUp. This survey is part of a research project, and any information you provide is secure.
