Biography
Rick Koonce is a professional speaker, leadership coach, facilitator and founder of the Huntington-Northstar Group, LLC, a coaching and consulting firm based in Boston. In the last 25 years Rick has worked with executives and teams in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. He has coached executives in many industries including aerospace, pharma, banking, financial services, professional services, creative services, travel/hospitality, manufacturing and telecommunications. He has also worked with nonprofits, government agencies, and international NGOs.
As a coach, Rick focuses his work with executives in the areas of change leadership, executive communication, leadership presence, emotional intelligence, team building, somatics, and stakeholder management. He is the author or co-author of six books on leadership, including Growing Leaders (ATD, 2001.)
Rick serves as an executive coach in the Advanced Management, OPM and SLS leadership development programs at Harvard Business School. Prior to that he served as an executive coach for seven years at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and to the McColl School of Business at Queens University in Charlotte, NC. He is a Master Coach Supervisor at William James College (formerly the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.)
Rick is a regular contributing author to publications such as Chief Learning Officer and TD Magazine.
