New Hampshire Bill SB 114

Published on 5/23/2019
Recently, a bill was introduced (SB 114) in the state of New Hampshire to establish a committee to study state oversight and potential regulation of life coaches.

A public hearing on the bill was held April 3, 2019. The committee heard testimony during a 30-minute window, and Trishia Lichauco, Nancy Formella and Alyson McEvoy represented ICF New England. The bill has since been killed.

There is no doubt in my mind that ICF’s testimony before the House ED&A Committee was very informative and effective because it is highly unusual for the House to unanimously reverse a bill that was unanimously adopted by the Senate,” said Garth Corriveau of Bianco Professional Association.

ICF continuously monitors legislative activity that would affect coaches and the coaching profession. For more information on ICF’s self-regulation and advocacy initiatives, please visit Coachfederation.org.

The bill can be found online.
