Biography
Cathy is the founder and owner of CarpeLux Coaching, based in Metrowest Boston, MA. As a Leadership and Career Performance Coach, her goal is to support leaders to perform at their best, through guiding them to build self-awareness and tools for developing professionally with a culturally respectful approach. She is especially passionate about supporting emerging and experienced leaders with historically marginalized identities in healing from workplace trauma, as well as partnering with senior-level leaders to create inclusive, equitable, and psychologically safe workplace cultures, which is what motivated her to pursue coaching.
Her lens on the world comes from being a 2nd generation Taiwanese American, cis-straight woman with two young children, as well as having experienced personal loss and workplace traumas. As a result of her intersectional identities, she brings empathy, compassion, and kindness to her work. Her work background spans a wide array of areas in healthcare (including clinical research, insurance, and health care operations), as well as training in DEI and wellness. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in anthropology and holds MBA and MPH degrees from Boston University. She holds an Associate Certified Coach credential from the International Coaching Federation, and is a member of the Asian Women Coaching Collective.
Cathy's approach to coaching is empathic, compassionate, and kind. She listens deeply and actively to your needs and emotions, and asking thought-provoking questions that encourage self-reflection, self-awareness, discovery, and empowerment.
She offers a cross-cultural perspective, and aims to be a partner in creating solutions that make sense from the client's perspective and the choices that are available to them.
